Day 19 – Sea Shells

I have revisited the Day 19 prompt and the amazing sea shell names this time made me think of an incantation. Rather than try and be clever about one or two names, I am taking the easier option and having a bit of fun.

When the Sparse Dove flies
across the face of the Incised Moon,
hasten to the forest
to pick the open flowers
of Unequal Bittersweet.
Crush with equal parts
of Heavy Bonnet,
softened with dew,
and grate in a little
Triangular Nutmeg.
Transfer the paste,
using an Atlantic Turkey Wing,
into a Woody Canoebubble.
Lock securely in a Lazarus Jewel Box
and keep,
in a secret place,
until needed.
